I Heart Herts, Group Show, Letchworth Arts Centre

A new exhibition including my recent drawings and paintings. The drawings are from direct observation from various points in Hitchin. My favourite outpost is Windmill Hill, near Hitchin Girls School. The view is fabulous and I have been visiting this spot to sit and think for about 15 years so to draw the view seems natural. I have also a favourite view from Uplands Avenue across to Wymondley and Kingshott School. The paintings in the show are derived from my drawings and the influences are Len Tabner, Peter Doig, Whistler and Turner among others. This is part of an ongoing project so there is much more to come.
